Clive Barker's Jump Tribe

Oh, what a special project we've got here! Fantasy/horror author and film producer, Clive Barker (Nightbreed, Hellraiser, Candyman, Lord of Illusions) and Art Asylum has produced something targeted especially for children. Think twisted creature plushes with an 18 page illustrated storybook. This is their first line of products for their still-in-discussion children's animated series under the same name, Jump Tribe.

First introduced in 2005 during San Diego Comicon, these cute storybook characters are what you would imagine that children would get into in regards to monsters. There are 240 of these weird colorful monsters and they all look very very different. The first series contains 4 of these and their story. Though written for children, they are also entertaining for adults as well. For audiences that like weird stuff, for fans of Clive's work or for your children, one just cannot say, "no" to having a cute hairy larvae plush with spikes, anyway.

Origin - "JUMP, JUMP"

Jumptribe is based on 240 weird and wacky creatures that form what is known as The Bestiary. These unique creatures have the ability to jump through dimensions but not always to where they want and not always all of them good.

This sets the background for these shorts and throw in some human children characters and you have a whole slew of loosely knit stories with playful plots, wacked out adventures, and very human reflections.
